Fano wins first title in third extension on 19th birthday

South Korea's Su Bin Joo finished tied for 16th at the ISPS Handa World Invitational ($1.5 million purse), 토토 co-sanctioned by the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET).

Su Bin Joo shot a 1-over-par 73 with four birdies and five bogeys on the final day of play at Galgorm Castle Golf Club (par-72, 6,527 yards) in Antrim, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom on Tuesday.

With a final total of even-par 289, Su Bin Joo finished the tournament in a tie for 16th place alongside Georgia Hall (England) and Riona Maguire (Ireland).

A rookie on the LPGA Tour this year, it was the second top-20 finish of her career after a tie for sixth at the ShopRite Classic in June.

The tournament was won by Alexa Fano (USA) in a three-way playoff.

With a final total of 8-under-par 281, Fano joined Esther Henselwright (GER) and Gabriella Cowley (GBR) in a playoff.

The extra hole was played on the 18th (par-5) and Henselwright was the first to go after failing to make a birdie in the first round.

A birdie putt from just over a meter away from the hole would have clinched the win in the second, 사설토토 but Cowley missed the putt, forcing a third.

In the third extra session, Fano was the first to make a birdie putt, and Cowley's attempt from about two meters went wide right.

For Fano, it was a special day as it was her 19th birthday.

Fano, who was also a rookie this year and had no top-10 finishes prior to this event, became the youngest LPGA Tour champion of the season.

The previous youngest winner on the LPGA Tour this year was Rose Chang (USA), who won the Mizuho America's Open in June and was born in May 2003.

Meanwhile, Daniel Brown (England) won the DP World Tour ISPS Handa World Invitational ($1.5 million purse) on the same course.

Finishing five strokes behind Brown was Alex Fitzpatrick (England) in second place in the men's competition. He is the younger brother of last year's U.S. Open champion, Mashu Fitzpatrick.

The course setting for the fourth round of the men's tournament was a par-70 of 7,151 yards, 스포츠토토 and the prize fund for the men's and women's tournaments is the same at $250,000 (approximately $330,000).
